Terms of service

The agreement between your organisation and FinNGO.

Draft for legal review. This text has not yet been approved and may change before it takes effect.

1. The service

FinNGO provides accounting, grant, procurement, HR and payroll software for non-profit organisations. These terms apply between [legal entity name] and the organisation that creates the account ("you"). The person accepting them confirms they may bind the organisation.

2. Accounts and users

You decide who joins your organisation and what role each person has. You are responsible for what your users do in FinNGO and for keeping sign-in details secure. Tell us promptly at security@finngo.app if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Your data

You own the records you put into FinNGO. We process them only to provide the service, under our data processing terms. You can export your reports and records at any time, including after your paid period ends.

4. Payment

FinNGO is free during the beta. Paid plans are bought in advance for a month or a year at the price shown on the Billing page when you pay. A paid period does not renew automatically. If you do not renew, a seven day grace period follows; after that, posting is paused until you renew, while reading and exporting remain available. Refunds: [policy to be decided].

5. Acceptable use

Do not use FinNGO to break the law, to process data you have no right to process, to attempt to access other organisations' data, or to disrupt the service.

6. Advice and responsibility

FinNGO calculates figures such as payroll tax from the information you enter and the rules in force. It does not replace professional accounting, tax or legal advice. You remain responsible for your statutory filings and for checking figures before relying on them.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep FinNGO available at all times and will give notice of planned maintenance where we can. We may improve or change features; we will give account owners [30] days' notice of changes that remove functionality you rely on.

8. Liability

[Limitation of liability clause to be drafted by counsel.]

9. Ending the agreement

You can stop using FinNGO at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms after giving notice, unless the breach puts other customers or the service at risk.

10. Governing law

[Governing law and jurisdiction to be confirmed by counsel.]
